Dental Assisting

Our accelerated 12-week program will give you the confidence and skills needed to excel in your new career as a Dental Assistant!

The Core Foundation is committed to providing students with the academic and hands-on clinical skills needed to be exceptional dental assistants. Our cutting-edge dental facility allows students to maximize their classroom knowledge and provides them with great hands-on experience, using only the most modern equipment and techniques.

Dental Assistants play a very important role in the dental office — they are literally the “glue” that keeps the office functioning smoothly and successfully. Dentists rely on their assistants for a variety of treatments, such as (but not limited to): preparing patients for treatment, seeing that all instruments are properly sterilized, in proper working order and that they are laid out accordingly before the patient arrives, passing the proper instruments to the dentist during procedures, learning proper radiograph exposure and placement techniques, dental charting, and being knowledgeable about a variety of lab techniques, including expanded functions.  Students will also gain valuable communication skills that will allow them to build personable relationships with their patients.

We are 100% committed to our students receiving extraordinary results from our program. Throughout the 12 week course, students will also receive training in the art of communication, better preparing them for the interview process and their new future career as a dental assistant.  For more information, to schedule a meeting or to begin the registration process, please contact us today!

"Wow! I loved this program! The dental assisting course was personalized and Heather, my instructor, was incredibly gifted. I learned everything very quickly and easily -- the “hands-on” experience was amazing! I am a “learn by doing” type of person and this program made it incredibly easy to retain what I was taught. The dentists and staff here are easygoing and open-minded. The atmosphere is professional, and I was made to feel very comfortable in a variety of office settings and situations. My experience was incredible; the program was fun, and I feel great about my new career. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to complete this program. Although The Core Foundation is the youngest dental assisting program out there right now, after checking into all the others I am so glad I decided on Core: it was the best choice! This program is not only affordable, but I was hired immediately after graduation. I’ve learned a lot and would recommend The Core Foundation’s training program to anyone interested in dental assisting."

"My experience at The Core Foundation was fantastic! I loved both my teachers and each brought a different aspect of the practice to our awareness as students. I was interested in learning both the front office and back office techniques, which I did. Soon, the “gross” things became “cool” things when I realized what we can do to fix peoples’ mouths. The staff members that I worked with at The Center of Dental Professionals and A Kid’s Place Dentistry were dedicated and sweet. I received tons of hands on experience, and I loved being able to apply what I learned almost immediately. Clinical days were awesome and Tammy showed us so many “tricks of the trade.” I have truly come to love dentistry as a result of my training. I never liked it when I was younger, but now I understand the value and importance of good oral health. Throughout my time in the Core program, I worked with a staff that believed in me before I believed in myself. Since graduating, I was immediately hired by two different providers and have had offers from others in the few weeks I’ve been out of school. I would totally recommend this program to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the dental field!"

"I loved the overall training I received at the Core Foundation. For starters, I begin studying to become a dental assistant because of the employment opportunities and the potential for a good salary. I choice the Core Foundation because they have the best training in the dental field and provide evening classes twice a week. My experience with this school was fantastic, especially with the instructor! Tammy was not only awesome, but also very knowledgeable and that made learning fun. She was great and really helped students 'get it.' I learned hands-on experience and the externship was so cool; the dentists I worked with were very patient and helpful. I learned so much in such a short time. If you are wondering if this is the right training school for you, I can personally tell you that it is! So, go on and see the facility, the people and the instructor -- take the time to sign up! You won't regret it. Do it for your family, do it for You! It change my life for the better. Thanks, everyone in the Core Foundation. Karen Allen
