Dr. Hemmert has been practicing dentistry for 13 years. He owned a successful practice in Spanish Fork, Utah for 8 of those years. He prides himself in providing excellent care in all areas of general dentistry. He makes it a priority to stay on top of the latest techniques and materials that dentistry offers. His goal is to achieve optimal oral health for all of his patients with the best outcomes that are possible.
Dr. Hemmert served as a member of the medical staff at two hospitals in the Provo/Orem area for 10 years while serving in the Dental Medicine Department where he took call in the ER and treated in-patients in the hospital for dental-related emergencies. He also worked in the operating room performing dental surgery on children and disabled adults during this time. His time in the hospital gave him first-hand experience seeing the connection between dental/oral heath and overall health.
Dr. Hemmert regularly volunteers at the local homeless dental clinic and participates in many state and national volunteer dental programs.
Dr. Hemmert is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Utah Dental Association.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hemmert enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, skiing, motorcycles, hiking, fishing, boating, church activities and traveling.
His travels recently included a dental mission to Jamaica where he led a team of 13 dental professionals treating over 500 patients. Below is a picture of Dr. Hemmert with his wife, Sunshine, with some of the school children that they treated.
