Dr. Benjamin Hulse, a native of Utah, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa in 2006. He served and gained experienced in the U.S. Army as a dental captain, where he was a part of the unit responsible for hospital dentistry at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, the biggest military hospital outside of the U.S. Dr. Hulse received the Army Commendation Medal for his dedication in his position.
After serving in the military, he moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, where he opened his own dental practice. After a growth in business through the word of mouth, Dr. Hulse was voted the Best Dental Office in town by the readers of Cookeville Herald Citizen in the summer of 2011 and 2012. A reputation which was to follow him upon his return to Southern Utah County where he open Salem Smiles.
Salem Smiles has been voted Best Dental Practice in Utah Valley every year from 2014 through 2018, and has been selected as one of the top forty dentists under 40 nationally by Incisal Edge Magazine, a publication for dentist, in 2014.
With additional experience, Dr. Hulse trained in advanced cardiac life support and is licensed for sedation. Through his LDS mission in Tegucigalpa, he learned to speak fluent Spanish and gained a world experienced.
